The Georgian NGO “Young Barristers” attended international conference on justice issues

19 June, 2015

The NGO “Young Barristers” was invited to attend International Legal Conference, “Actual Problems of Justice and  the Ways for Solution”, on June 19, 2015. The conference will be attended by representatives of the government, court, international organizations, Georgian NGOs, universities and scholars of law. On the conference it was noted, that Georgian justice System has passed through rough and difficult periods of its history. The court couldn’t always manage to implement its duties as it should have implemented. This is proved by thousands of complaints, addressed to the Prosecutors Office demanding review of the  court judgments, made during the period of the former government.  There are many problems within Georgian judicial system, apart from this and the conference will try to search ways to improve those problems.

The meeting was arranged by Union of Law Scientists and European Teaching University. The meeting was attended by Archil Kaikatsishvili on behalf of Young Barristers.
