The “Young Barristers” got acquainted with an experience of the mobile centers for Migrant Reintegration Assistance Program

The organization “Young Barristers” participated in a training, organized by the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons From the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia. The training was regarding the  main directions and procedures for supporting migrant reintegration. The meeting was attended by the organizations, winning grant competition on the “Reintegration Support of Migrants Returning to Georgia”, on April 23, 2015,  including the “Young Barristers”.

The training has discussed experience of the IOM mobile centers – criteria and terms of involvement of the beneficiaries in the program, establishment of  needs of the beneficiaries and counseling them, medical procedures and opportunities, vocational trainings, forms of employment and small business support procedures. In addition, characteristics of the registration data base for the beneficiaries was also considered. The training was conducted by the IOM coordinator, Tsiuri Antadze. The meeting was attended by the Minister of the Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia, Sozar Subari and the Deputy Minister, Giga Giorgadze.

For more information: The review commission of the grant project had positively appraised legal aid application for migrants represented by the organization “Young Barristers” and allocated 20.000 GEL for the project implementation. According to the project, at least 16 beneficiaries are going to be provided with the relevant legal services. On the basis of the project management, it is possible to ensure legal assistance for all beneficiaries, such as: legal consultations, representations, giving directions and etc… Full implementation of the project will start after expiration of internal organizational issues. 

The meeting was attended by the Chief-executive of the organization “Young Barristers”, Archil Kaikatsishvili and the Project Director, Ana Kiknadze.
