The “Young Barristers” got involved in the “Peace Corps” Project

The organization “Young Barristers” got involved in the “Peace Corps” project, according to which a new foreign employee will be added to the working team of the organization. An invited specialist is going to work on the preparation of strategic projects of the “Young Barristers”, on  increasing communications with foreign partners , as well as on human resources management and advocacy issues together with the employees of the organization for the next 6 months. The organization prepared the statement for participation in the “Peace Corps” project  in November, 2014. The representation of the “Peace Corps” in Georgia had studied the activities, abilities and interests of the organization. In May 2015, a decision regarding   involvement of   the “Young Barristers” in the “Peace Corps” program, was made.                                         

The specific of the „Peace Corps“ project  is that the “Peace Corp” volunteers are hosted by families in Georgia. In this record, the organization would like to make an announcement  in order to select host family in Tbilisi for the foreign employee of the organization and invite interested families.  For the attention of the host families, the organization explains strict conditions, under which the host family should take the volunteer as the member of his family, provide daily meals and minimum conditions: a separate room, a bed, a table, a chair, a closet and lock on the door. The host family gets monthly 375 GEL  to satisfy requirements of the volunteer.  This sum is not a rent and is provided for requirements of one more member of the family. The “Peace Corps” will also pay heating costs – 50 GEL monthly  from October until April.  The host family should ensure integration of the volunteer and introduction of Georgian culture to him/her.

Foreign language employee of the organization “Young Barristers” will get to work  from June 5, 2015. Accordingly, the organization appeals to the interested host families to contact the Public Relation Manager of the organization (599 010344) before May 20.

For more information:  the President of the United States J.F Kennedy  established the “Peace Corps” in 1961. “Peace Corp” is an apolitical,  non-profit Agency of US Government, aiming  to encourage development of interested country and share necessary experience.
