“Young Barristers”, from July 29, will start working on legal iniciative of student’s employment

The organization “Young Barristers”, on July 29, will hold first meeting on preparation of legal initiative of student’s employment.

„Young Barristers“ started working on the matter in November, 2013. The organization addressed Georgian government with recommendation, that in case of further changes in labor code, to take student’s labor right into account. This way, the state will create student’s labor’s united system.

In May, 2014, organization sent government another recommendation and offered, in parallel to increased authority of self governed units, to start working on establishing regulations concerning financing and provision of further labor for succesfull students living in the regions. In particular, for government to examine European experience, for self-government of each region to finance tuition of universities for successful high school graduates living in the same regions, and after graduating from institute of higher education, experienced graduate would take responsibility to go back to the region and for certain period of time contribute power to local government and compensate it with his/her profit

Iniciative will be realized by legal group of the organization. In preparation of the initiative, Ministries of Economy and Sustainable Development, Sports and Youth Affairs, Labor, Health and Social Defense and Finance will participate. Working group is also supported by Revenue Service, National Accreditation Center, Union of Professional Connections, National Statistics Office, representatives of various non-governmental organizations and independent experts.

The organization will present the legal initiative to Georgian government in fall.
